One of the Beninese government’s major projects, the University Hospital of Reference (CHUR) was officially launched in September 2020. Construction works on the Abomey-Calavi Hospital and the CHUR have begun and are scheduled to last 36 months. This project, for which the Beninese population in general and the government have high expectations, also takes into account the commissioning and training of personnel. The Government wants to make the CHUR a reference in the West African sub-region and Benin a hub for quality health care with state-of-the-art equipment.
