Support for secondary education in Benin

AFD’s Support for secondary education project aims to finance the construction and equipping of classrooms (185 modules of 4 classrooms in permanent materials), the construction of 370 blocks of 4 latrines, and the equipment necessary for site monitoring activities (acquisition of computer and technical equipment and vehicles), mainly in existing schools in the target departments: Borgou-Alibori, Ouémé-Plateau and Zou-Collines. In addition, the project supports the establishment and/or strengthening of the Ministry’s steering tools and supports the Ministry in defining a certain number of management and regulatory principles and standards, and in ensuring that all actors in the education chain (central, departmental and school levels) are able to dialogue on the implementation, monitoring and compliance with these principles and standards.
