The objective of the Universal Rural Drinking Water Access Program in Benin is to increase access to water supply services and strengthen service delivery mechanisms in selected rural areas. The program is structured around two outcome areas. First, the program will support investments in rural piped water supply systems to rapidly expand access and help the Government of Benin achieve its ambitious targets for the sector. Second, the program will strengthen service delivery arrangements through comprehensive reforms of the rural water supply sector.
